I know I shouldn't have done it. The voices in my head were screaming for me to stop. I think there was even a little cartoon cardiologist on my shoulder screaming "Don't do it!!" I didn't listen. I did it anyway. I recently consumed a lunch from Carl's Jr. that consisted of the new double chili cheeseburger, fried zucchini, and the new Cap'n Crunch malt (also available in milkshake).
Why did I do it? Because it was worth it. The double chili cheeseburger was fantastic. Two charbroiled patties of beef, smothered in chili and mustard and slapped on a bun with some onions (I ordered mine without the tomatoes and pickles). It was quite a big burger, and quite messy too. I didn't know how I was going to be able to eat my fried zucchini after it. But I pushed forward. I've always loved the fried zucchini from Carl's Jr. Crispy on the outside, soggy on the inside. There's just something special about them when you dip them in those little tubs of house dressing. After I finished my zuchinni, I was so full. I didn't know how I was going to be able to finish my Cap'n Crunch malt. I took a sip, and then I remembered. These Cap'n Crunch milkshakes might just be the best thing ever invented. I've had a malt before, and I've had Cap'n Crunch. Why oh why didn't I ever think to combine them? Crunchy little bits of Cap'n crunch cereal swirled together with ice cream and milk. Perfection.
By now I'm sure you're all feeling sick, wondering how much fat and how many calories I consumed. I was almost afraid to look it up on the Carl's Jr. website. Including those two little tubs of house dressing, I just consumed 2400 calories and 138 grams of fat, 59 of them saturated. Oh well, if this meal had given me a heart attack, at least I would have died a happy man.

I actually had the shake (in malt form) I think the day it came out. The menu board in the drive thru seemed to indicate there were different flavors so I was wondering if there'd be Crunch Berries or Peanut Butter Crunch, but no such luck.
Only would have been the meal of death if could have eaten two of the burgers, LOL
OMG You are crazy! That is ridiculous. How did you feel after wards? Man, I am a model, and I had a Carls Jr. Super star burger. It was soooo good. I was on the road coming back from San Francisco after a photo shoot, and I told my mom I wanted one. She laughed and looked at me! I told her I was serious! So She did it( I love her). I hadn't eaten thing that day from 5 to 10 so it was the PERFECT meal. lol Sometimes its' OK to eat it once in a while, just not all the time. Just balance it out, that's all. At least its better than starving yourself. High Five Yeah!!! Proud of you LOL! Go get'tem Tiger!
I LOVED the Capn Crunch milkshake at Carl's. Will they ever bring it back? Growing up on the East Coast, I had only one previous encounter with Carl's before moving to CA. The second one I ever had was (by chance) stumbling in to one desperate for some lunch while in a sketchy part of Vegas and low & behold: I spied the Capn Crunch shake. Shake and fries for lunch and all I can say was, the shake was probably the best combination I've ever had!
